Alan Hynes is a graphic designer, originally from Dublin, Ireland he now lives and works in San Francisco, California. He designs for a diverse range of clients and companies with work spanning corporate identity to fine art. He has worked extensively in the skateboarding industry developing brands and designing products for Spitfire, Real, Antihero and some of the top professional skateboarders in the world.
Much of his time is spent creating screenprinted concert posters for music acts including Jack White, Sigur Ros and Primus alongside posters for movies and film under the prestigious Mondo brand. Printed by hand in limited editions many of his prints have become sought after collector items and have been featured in numerous films and books including the definitive “Art of Modern Rock” published by Chronicle Books.
Alan’s work has been exhibited around the world notably The Museum of Modern Art, Atlanta, the Beatlemania Museum in Hamburg and has been recognised by the Chicago poster biennial and prominent design publications including Communication Arts, Print and HOW.
